Decision M(98)4 of the Committee of Ministers of the Benelux Economic Union supplementing Decision M (96) 8 with regard to hunting and bird protection
In accordance with Article 1, paragraph 3, of the Agreement, the Committee of Ministers of the Benelux Economic Union has taken a Decision amending Article 3 of the Agreement as amended by the Protocol of 20 June 1977. Dutch text 1 of this Decision reads as follows:
Decision M(98)4 of the Committee of Ministers of the Benelux Economic Union supplementing Decision M (96) 8 with regard to hunting and bird protection
The Committee of Ministers of the Benelux Economic Union,
Having regard to Article 4, paragraphs 2 and 4, of the Benelux Agreement on hunting and bird protection of 20 June 1977,
Having regard to Article 19 a) of the Benelux Union Treaty,
Considering the need to establish the maximum list of means permitted in hunting,
Has decided the following:
Article 1
In Article 3, at the end of Decision M (96) 8, a text is added as follows: «For the Walloon Region, the arch may also be permitted.»
Article 2
The explanatory notes to Decision M (96) 8 are deleted and replaced by the explanatory notes to this Decision. 1
Article 3
a. The Decision enters into force on the day of its signature.
b. Each of the Governments concerned shall take the necessary measures to implement the provisions of this Decision no later than 1 year after its signature.
