***Notes re: original agreement being amended: Pursuant to its Article XVIII.1, the Agreement is considered terminated on 20 September 2007 (date on which Mauritania's withdrawal became effective), since the number of Members of the Commission fell below three. The Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in North-West Africa was restructured as the Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Western Region by the FAO Council in November 2000.
