Notes:
At its 2nd Session held in Nairobi, Kenya, on 12 November 1998, the Council of Ministers of the Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization adopted amendments to the Convention with a view to, inter alia, establishing a Policy Steering Committee, and allowing the EAC Secretariat and the designated representatives of key regional projects on the Lake in the three Contracting States to participate in the meetings of the Executive Committee in an observer capacity. In accordance with Article XX of the Convention as adopted in 1994 (corresponding to Article XXI of the Convention as amended in 1998), the amendments entered into force for all Parties thirty days after their adoption, that is on 12 December 1998. https://www.fao.org/fileadmin/user_upload/legal/docs/027s-e.pdf
