This Agreement is aimed at promoting and expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic co-operation between Vietnam and Australia. Objectives include bilateral co-operation in economic, commercial, scientific and industrial fields (art. 1). The principal areas of co-operation include agriculture, food pr ocessing and the environment (art. III). Article VI relates to most favoured nation treatment on the issue of import and export licences. With the aim of implementing this agreement the Joint Trade and Economic Co-operation Committee is established.
