The Governments of Argentina and Great Britain agreed to give to support for and to recognise the position of the United Kingdom and Argentina with regard to the sovereignty or territorial and maritime jurisdiction over the Falklands Islands, South Georgia and the South Sand wich Islands and the surrounding maritime areas. The two Governments confirm their commitment to respect fully the principles of the charter of United Nations, in particular the obligation to settle disputes exclusively by peaceful means and to refrain form the threat or use of force. The two Government discussed British-Argentine relations also with respect to conservation of fishery resources and future cooperation on fisheries. A working group for exchange of information on measures of cooper ation and conservation in this field is established.
