The international agreement has been ratified by Italy by Act No. 376 of 14 October 1999.; The international agreement has been ratified by Italy by Act No. 376 of 14 October 1999.; The purposes of this international agreement are the promotion of the co-operation between the official veterinary services of the Parties, the prevention from animal disease and zoonoses, the encouragement of live animals, animal products and products of animal origin exchanges. For the achievement of these aims the Parties shall: a) ensure the exchange of veterinary officers and veterinarians, in order to promote the reciprocal scientific and technical development of the veterinary sector; b) receive their respective technicians and veterinarians to attend specializing courses and seminars arranged by the Parties themselves; c) exchange inform ation concerning producing, processing and transformation methods for products of animal origin, as well as information on animal disease-fighting methods. The Parties shall exchange the information specified by article 2, as well. In case of animal disease outbreak, the Parties must suspend animal products and products of animal origin consignments.
