On December 15, 2017, the Conference of Contracting Parties adopted Decision CDNI 2017-II-1 in accordance with Article 14, Article 19 and Article 22 of the Convention. The Decree contains a correction of the Dutch text of Article 5.01 of the Implementing Regulations to the Convention and a correction of the footnote to Appendix IV (Discharge Declaration (Tankvaart) to the Implementing Regulations of the Convention. The Dutch text of Decree CDNI 2017-II -1 reads as follows:

Correction of errors in Article 5.01 and 7.04, third paragraph, as well as in the amended Appendices III and IV of the Implementing Regulation
The Conference of the Contracting Parties,
pursuant to the Convention on the Collection, Delivery and Acceptance of Waste in Navigation on the Rhine and Inland Navigation (CDNI) and in particular Articles 14 and 19 of the Convention,
pursuant to the Convention on the Collection, Deposit and Collection of Waste in Navigation on the Rhine and Inland Navigation (CDNI) and in particular Article 22, which provides that each language version is equally authentic,
whereas the correct application of the Convention by all Contracting Parties requires uniform and coherent language versions,
agrees to the corrections in Article 5.01 and 7.04, paragraph 3, as well as to the corrections in Appendices III and IV as set out in the Annex.
This decision will take effect on January 1, 2018.

Corrections in Article 5.01 and 7.04, third paragraph, as well as in the amended Appendices III and IV of the Implementing Regulation

3. The Dutch version of the Convention is amended as follows:
a. In Part B of the Implementing Regulation, Article 5.01, third paragraph, part c is corrected as follows:
"a. 'unit transports' means transports in which the same cargo or other cargo, the transport of which does not require prior cleaning of the hold or cargo tank, is demonstrably carried in the ship's hold or cargo tank during successive voyages;
aa. 'compatible transports' means transports where, on successive voyages, a cargo is shown to be carried in the cargo hold or tank of the ship, the transport of which does not require prior washing of the hold or cargo tank;'
b. In Appendix IV Declaration of discharge (Tank) the footnote '**' is amended as follows:
"** Waste classification according to Commission Decision 2014/955/EU of 18 December 2014 amending Decision 2000/532/EC on the list of wastes pursuant to Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council"
