The International Tropical Timber Council,
Recalling Article 46 of the ITTA, 1994,
Noting that the ITTA 1994 entered into force on 1 January 1997, with an initial duration of four years,
Further noting the desire expressed by all Members to extend the ITTA, 1994,
Also noting the need of some Members to have further time to finalize their internal legal procedures,
Decides to extend the ITTA, 1994, for a period of three years with effect from 1 January 2001 until 31 December 2003, subject to the confirmation by the aforementioned Members at the Twenty-ninth Session.
