Download selected IEA texts

To get the full agreement text of IEAs you select, do the following:

  • Download the attached file and choose a folder and SAVE that file as getIEAtexts-Stata.do (remove "cx" at end of filename, as its a .do file not a Word file).
  • Go to https://iea.uoregon.edu/base-agreement-list & filter for the IEAs you want
  • Click the CSV button at the bottom of the results page
  • Save the resulting ieadb_agreement_list.csv file in the folder with the getIEAtexts-Stata.do file
  • Start Stata & change to that folder
  • Run the getIEAtexts-Stata.do file.

The .do file will download all the texts BUT make sure to read through the getIEAtexts-Stata.do file so that you understand what it is doing. Running the getIEAtexts-Stata.do file twice will delete and replace prior results unless you copy those results to another folder. If the code does not work, you should be able to fix the problem with even a basic knowledge of Stata.
