This Agreement shall remain in force until 2010 or until superseded for the relevant watercourse by comprehensive water agreements on the Incomati and Maputo watercourses supported by joint studies, whichever is the earlier.; This Agreement on the co-operation between Mozambique, South Africa and Swaziland on the shared watercourses Incomati and Maputo aims to ensure the protection and sustainable utilisation of the water resources of those watercourses. General principles set out in the Revised Protocol on Shared Watercourses in the Southern African Development Community shall apply to this Agreement in accordance with Article 3. Article 4 defines the individual and joint responsibilities of Parties. The joint body for co-operation between the Parties shall be the Tripartite Permanent Technical Committee established by the Agreement established by an earlier Agreement between the Parties of 1983.
